VA pays on the combined rating, not per condition: this is the amount when 100% is the veteran's combined rating, after all separate ratings are combined under 38 CFR 4.25. At a 100% combined rating, a single veteran receives $3,938.58 per month ($47,262.96/year) under the 2026 VA rates, effective December 1, 2025. VA disability compensation is tax-free. With a spouse and one child, the monthly amount is $4,318.99.

Malignant neoplasms of the genitourinary system. Under the code's Note the 100 percent evaluation continues following the cessation of surgical, X-ray, antineoplastic chemotherapy or other therapeutic procedure, with a mandatory VA examination at the expiration of six months; any change in evaluation is subject to § 3.105(e). If there has been no local recurrence or metastasis, rate on residuals. The Note rates residuals as voiding dysfunction or renal dysfunction, whichever is predominant; residuals rated as renal dysfunction: chronic kidney disease with glomerular filtration rate (GFR) less than 15 mL/min/1.73 m2 for at least 3 consecutive months during the past 12 months; or requiring regular routine dialysis; or eligible kidney transplant recipient.
